Miranda Murphy, CPA
Becoming a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) was never my end goal, but it has turned out to be an organic means to an end that has brought me to exactly where I want to be.
Where I want to be is here, working from my home in the mountains of British Columbia, solving problems for a range of small business clients in unique ways. I love the challenge of understanding what drives each of my clients’ businesses and figuring out how best to serve them using the technical elements of accounting, the structural aspects of process building and my own creative energy and interdisciplinary approach.
While I specialize in small business consulting and accounting engagements, I have also applied my project management skills to economic impact assessments for the tourism industry, and I am an active volunteer for local organizations. I love working from my virtual office because I can sneak away for outdoor adventures guilt-free and host video meetings while my dog, Red, snores away at my feet.
Holly Ryall
I’m proud to call Revelstoke home; I was drawn initially by the outdoor adventures but ended up staying for the community.
My accounting career began in England, where I found it a natural fit for my analytical skills and passion for problem-solving. In 2016, I earned my qualification as a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, and since then, I've had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from local start-ups to international organizations.
In 2025 I received my Canadian CPA designation, a big step that reflects my commitment to delivering high-quality financial services. I value balancing my professional life with my love for the outdoors and the vibrant community here in Revelstoke.
I love having the flexibility to work from wherever I am in the world, and the ability to fit a professional job into my lifestyle, which takes me into the wild and onto the trails as often as possible. Prior to taking on my CPA courses, I served as Treasurer for the Revelstoke Cycling Association, and now that my schooling is complete I will be looking for new ways to support the development of my community.
Oscar
Behind the scenes, Oscar is the real driving force behind Holly’s schedule. Flexible work from home hours? Who has time for that! Oscar makes sure Holly takes an afternoon break every single day for his walk. He is also responsible for cleaning up after Holly’s breakfast yogurt containers - a job he takes very seriously.
Red
Faithfully attending every client meeting behind the scenes, Red is in charge of making sure Miranda’s workday includes lots of snacks, pats and run breaks. Filling the duties of Miranda’s old pal Koda, Red is working hard to be the very bestest girl she can!
